Dassault has selected a leading international company, Meggitt, specialised in high-performance components and subsystems for the aerospace, defense, and selected energy markets, to provide the wheels, brakes, brake control system, and tire pressure monitoring system, for the Falcon 6X program. The value of the contract runs for the lifetime of the programme.
Meggitt will also offer landing gear control computers which, along with the brake control. It will be performing the control and monitoring for landing gear sequencing, nose wheel steering control, and the hydraulic system. The unique system integration expertise of Meggitt brings an industry-first to the program, integrating control of the landing gear and hydraulic systems with other aircraft subsystems.
